Deen Meat & Cooked Foods has been in business since 1946, has a long and trusted reputation for producing quality products. The company is now managed by second generation family members, Danny and Craig Deen.
Danny Deen’s dad put him to work making boxes in 1962 and he has been here pretty much ever since. Danny is a TCU graduate with degrees in Business Administration and Ranch Management. Other jobs include two years in the French Cameroons with the Peace Corps and a few years managing the family ranch in Montague County. Danny’s hobbies are photography and guitars.
Craig Deen grew up in a family that had a true appreciation for quality meat and the food business. He watched his Dad form partnerships with many restaurant and grocery store owners over the years. Deen Meat was founded on the idea of quality first for long term success. Craig is carrying on that “partnership” role as sales manager of Deen Meat and Cooked Foods. Craig is helping to carry on a tradition of excellence in the meat business that began in 1946. Craig graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a Business Management Degree.
Matthew Deen has been with the company since 2008, but has been around the business his whole life, and primarily handles accounting and finance duties. Matthew received an MBA from TCU in 2003 and previously worked for the Fort Worth Business Press and AmeriCredit. He is involved with the TCU Young Alumni Board, All Saints Episcopal School and alumni board, and the St. NICUlas board for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital.
